Firelite
Using 436g of minimum 900 fill power DOWN CODEX® approved European goose down fill and an extremely lightweight and breathable PLASMA 10-denier fabric, the Firelite reliably offers exceptional loft and warmth for a minimal weight. A flurocarbon-free DWR treatment adds a level of protection from melting snow and condensation.
Throughout the bag, slanted baffles optimally balance thermal efficiency against weight and pack size, while our proven EXL® elasticated stitching system inside the bag minimises dead airspace, reduces drafts, and pulls the liner fabric away from the down allowing it to loft effectively for maximal warmth. In the hood and collar a complex seven baffle system concentrates down for optimum warmth and protection over long-term use, and at the foot of the bag an anatomically shaped footbox with a four baffle system allows the down to loft fully and focuses warmth around your feet.
We use a full-spec zip in the Firelite for increased durability and longevity, compared with lightweight zips often seen in comparable bags. This is combined with a full-length Gemini™ entry zip baffle to dramatically reduce heat loss in this typically vulnerable area. Finally, the low-profile magnetic Lode Lock™ closure and collar drawcords are easy to use in the dark or in difficult conditions.
All of our Extreme Light bags have a tapered Alpine fit that optimally balances weight with warmth, but importantly can still accommodate additional down layers and boots as necessary.
With a Good Night’s Sleep Temperature of -9oC (16oF) the Firelite is ideal for high mountain summer alpinism and spring and autumn use at lower altitudes.
