Earthrise
100% recycled down. 100% recycled fabrics.
Earthrise is our first collection of down insulated clothing that uses 100% recycled down, as well as 100% recycled shell and lining fabrics. The insulation is sourced entirely from reclaimed duck and goose down, which has undergone testing to meet the high performance standards we require for all our insulated products.
While this approach to sourcing insulation is new for us, Mountain Equipment maintains its meticulous attention to design and construction. The down fill is optimized to provide maximum warmth where it's needed while allowing for extra mobility in key areas. A versatile set of features such as pockets that double as stuff sacks, hem drawcords and helmet compatible hoods make the Earthrise a great companion on a wide array of mountain activities.
DOWN CYCLE
DOWN CYCLE is part of our commitment to conducting business in a more sustainable way. It began in 2017 with the introduction of 100% post-consumer recycled down in our Earthrise range of clothing. The initiative also includes an ambitious plan to create a functioning closed-loop recycling system. This system ensures that down clothing and sleeping bags, which are either unwanted or at the end of their life, do not simply end up in landfills.
Recycling down reduces landfill waste and decreases the raw material inputs associated with virgin down, and complements our DOWN CODEX® project.
