Affectionately known as ‘The Brenin’, Plas y Brenin is a National Mountain Sports Centre located in the heart of Snowdonia, North Wales. It is a centre of sporting excellence operated on behalf of Sport England by a non-profit educational charity, the Mountain Training Trust. They provide training, instruction and assessment in a wide range of mountain sports including rock climbing, mountaineering, ski-mountaineering and hill walking as well as mountain biking and paddle sports. They also provide training and assessment further afield in the Scottish Highlands, Pyrenees and European Alps.

Plas y Brenin has been at the forefront of outdoor leadership and training for more than 60 years and have built up an unrivalled reputation for world-class instruction. Their instructional team are some of the most experienced, committed and passionate outdoor enthusiasts to be found anywhere. People for whom climbing and mountaineering doesn’t finish at the end of a day’s work, but who live and breathe the mountain lifestyle 24-7.
