With a unique construction, the Paiyu Jacket provides levels of warmth and protection far beyond its first appearance. With high levels of insulation and a full expedition specification it’s a reliable choice for 5 and 6000m peaks as well multi-day ski journeys and anyone spending extended periods in freezing conditions.

Our dual layer offset baffles remove the cold spots found on most comparable jackets using stitch through construction and provide appreciable extra warmth with only a marginal weight penalty. This is backed up with heat reflective internal fabric to give even greater thermal efficiency when you need the absolute maximum insulation for every gram carried. Less bulky than the sort of box wall construction normally required for this level of warmth, the Trango remains a jacket you can move in on the very coldest days.

Our Mountain HC Insulated Hood provides essential extra protection on an exposed summit push and easily adjusts for the ideal fit with or without a helmet. An inner zipped security pocket and two large internal mesh pockets ensure vital kit and water doesn’t freeze as the temperature drops further still.
